Nomensa, the research and design company that specialise in web accessibility, today announced the launch of their fully accessible Web Management System, Defacto.

A revolutionary application, Defacto is fully accessible from both the front and back end of its functionality. This means that it is configured to be fully accessible for people using assistive technologies to manage and create fully compliant web site content.

In harmony with the Nomensa ethos of Humanising Technology, Defacto was built with people in mind. After years of working with a variety of Content Management Systems, it became clear that many of them were not supporting their users as they should.

Defacto is a product of two years of research and development, review and fine tuning. The application is a fully managed CMS solution hosted by Nomensa.

A breakthrough application, Defacto features an intuitive user interface, a link manager, a comprehensive content editor, and an image management system that generates alternative text for images. Defacto also supports advanced functionalities such as RSS news feed and automatic generation of valid HTML.
