Supported by the Government Office for the South West (GOSW), Equality South West is an organisation funded by the Regional Development Agency (RDA) to promote equality for all.

Nomensa was chosen to redesign and evolve the website into a professional online networking facility. The site had to include a substantial volume of information from another website and required Defacto, Nomensa’s first class Content Management System (CMS).

Action

Nomensa presented a choice of storyboard designs to Equality South West. The information architecture process was a complex project deliverable. The site was structured to include content written by Equality South West and information used from an external database.

Nomensa integrated accessible web templates into Defacto and migrated content for Equality South West. Equality South West received Defacto training and conducted final Quality Assurance testing before launching the site on Nomensa’s hosting infrastructure.

Results

The result is a striking, fully accessible and reliable website, delivering a professional and informative experience for its audience, communicating a powerful message to its users.  The website hosts an array of functionality including, A-Z listing directory, online search facility, data fed in from an external database and dynamic news items. Visitors to the website have increased by 152% since the launch and feedback has been very positive.
