Broads Authority
“The Authority was particularly impressed with Nomensa’s project approach. The in-depth requirement analysis, information architecture and storyboard development stages provided a rigorous structure for the design and development of the final site.
Nomensa staff were always on hand and extremely dedicated ensuring the site was delivered on time to a very tight and fixed deadline. The project has been very successful in meeting our key objectives. Nomensa has delivered a high class and fully accessible website capable of raising the profile of the Broads Authority.”
Objective
Wanting to offer its audience a fully accessible user experience, The Broads Authority sought a complete website redesign to raise its profile and deliver advanced functionality.
The Broads Authority also required a content management system (CMS) that gave them control, flexibility and most importantly, an accessible environment for their website editors to maintain their website. Defacto was the ideal solution.
Action
Using the Norfolk Broads as inspiration, Nomensa created a visually striking design for the new Broads Authority website, and turned this new look and feel into fully accessible templates.
To manage the new website, Defacto was customised to accommodate The Broads Authority’s bespoke functionality requirements.
Usability testing of actual online tasks was carried out with members of The Broads Authority’s audience to ensure a user-centric experience was created.
Results
The level of traffic to The Broads Authority website has consistency increased since the website redesign. The now fully accessible website has enabled thousands of users a month to enjoy learning about and exploring what the Broads have to offer. By providing an efficient source of online information, The Broads Authority also benefits with cost savings by handling a lower volume of call enquiries. A winner all round.
